Country Kids Early Learning Centre - Woongoolba QLD

Childcare, Daycare & Bush Kindy in Upper Gold Coast

Nestled in the farming district just north of Upper Coomera and in the heart of Woongoolba’s rural countryside, our daycare & child care centre offers children a unique learning experience with Bush Kindy and nature based education as our main focus. The centre is surrounded by nature, cane fields, farmlands, and growing gardens. The majestic Gold Coast hinterland mountains are visible in the distance from the front of the centre.

At Country Kids Woongoolba, we bring the simplicity and wonder of our natural environment into our curriculum, fostering a love for animals, plants, nature and a sense of being connected to every child that attends the centre.

Perhaps Gold Coast’s best kept secret, walking in to the centre is walking back to a simpler, gentler time and remembering how daycare and childcare used to feel like – warm, inviting, intimate & nuturing. Where the children are known individually and catered for on an individual basis.

The numbers at this centre are limited. This helps educators not only be a bigger part of a childs formative years but it also helps the children at the centre feel safe, seen, valued and connected.

The centre is down the road from Woongoolba State School and we enjoy a close relationship with Bethlehem Lutheran Church located next door. It is also the closest daycare and childcare centre available for families living in scenic coastal village of Jacobs Well that is gateway to the southern Moreton Bay islands.

For parents looking for a country based bush kindy and willing to travel a short distance the centre is close to the following areas: Beenleigh, Steiglitz, Jacobs Well, Norwell, Gilberton, Ormeau, Pimpama, Alberton and Eagleby.

Country Kids ELC & Kindergarten - Woongoolba QLD

A Rural Haven for Learning

Our Country Kids Woongoolba centre is uniquely positioned in the midst of picturesque sugar cane farms in the northern most part of Gold Coast, offering a peaceful, natural setting that inspires curiosity and creativity. We aim to bring back the simple joys of childhood by providing a space where children can connect with nature, care for animals, and cultivate gardens. This environment encourages hands-on learning, exploration, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Why Choose Country Kids?

Bush Kindy - Nature Based Learning

Children at our Woongoolba centre enjoy daily opportunities to interact with the outdoors, from tending to gardens & growing veggies to exploring the large play area. It is a legitimate bush kindy due to our location and unique outdoor area. Our nature-based early learning approach is infused into every aspect of the centre.

We believe that our natural environment provides the best play materials, and we incorporate these elements into our learning activities to foster creativity and environmental awareness.

Woongoolba State School & Community

Our centre is within walking distance of Woongoolba State School. We thrive on building connections, not just within our education community but also with the broader Woongoolba area.

One of our special initiatives is the “Treasured Elders VIP and Kindy Pen Pal Program,” where our children engage in meaningful correspondence with residents of the Arcare Pimpama Aged Care. This program builds empathy, communication skills, and a sense of community involvement.

Nuturing the Whole Child

At Country Kids Woongoolba, we focus on nurturing the whole child in a holistic way. Through the bush kindy activities like nature play and gardening combined with creative arts and cooking, children learn practical life skills and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. The centre feels like a home away from home.

The dedicated and caring team at Country Kids are beloved by parents, caregivers and guardians for their love and dedication for children’s wellbeing and healthy development.

A Day at Country Kids Woongoolba

A typical day at our Woongoolba centre is filled with exploration, discovery and immersion in nature.
Here’s a glimpse of what our children experience:

Nature-Based Play

Nature is the best artist. Children at Country Kids are encouraged to take inspiration from mother nature herself. We use natural materials to create unique art pieces. Children are gently encouraged to use their imagination and engage with the environment around them at all times.

Gardening Activities

Our growing garden is a centrepiece of our outdoor space. Recently, our passionfruit plant has been growing steadily thanks to the care and watering it receives from our little gardeners. Via direct experience children are watching plant life cycles, learning responsibility, as well as experiencing the joy of nurturing and watching living plants grow.

Creative Artistic Expression

Whether it’s using loose parts on a mirror to create self-portraits or crafting something special, our children are encouraged to express themselves creatively in unique and innovative ways using materials found in nature.

Hands-On Learning

Learning is brought to life through practical activities like cooking together as a group or planting a tree. For example, after discussing how to make biscuits, the children get to explore the process making cookies with jam on top. This approach helps to solidify concepts and brings joy to childrens hearts.

Our Commitment to Families

At Country Kids Woongoolba, we are dedicated to providing a warm, inclusive environment that feels like an extension of your family. We value open communication with parents and believe in creating a partnership that supports each child’s individual learning journey.

We encourage parents to get involved and stay connected through daily updates, community events, and our engaging programs with the natural environment at the centre of everything that we do. We are proud to be a part of the Woongoolba farming community and connected to Woongoolba State School. We are committed to providing a high-quality early learning experience that reflects our rural surroundings and deeply held values.
