Country Kids Early Learning & Kindergarten is proud to participate in the Queensland Government’s Free Kindy program. What is Free Kindy?
Free Kindy is a groundbreaking initiative from the Queensland Government that provides free kindergarten to eligible-aged children who attend a government-approved program. Our centre offers 15 hours of kindy per week, for 40 weeks per year, led by our dedicated and qualified early childhood teachers.
Free Kindy is available for children who are at least 4 years old by 30 June in the year they attend kindergarten, and who are enrolled in a Queensland Government-approved kindergarten program.
Who is eligible for Free Kindy?
Free Kindy is available to children who:
- Are 4 years old by 30 June in the year they attend kindergarten
- Are enrolled in a Queensland Government-approved kindergarten program
- Attend an eligible service such as Country Kids Early Learning & Kindergarten
The Free Kindy funding covers 15 hours per week of kindergarten for 40 weeks per year.
Families accessing care beyond these kindy hours may incur fees, with Child Care Subsidy (CCS) available to eligible families.
